It can be painful to watch someone you love suffer. And yet to some people it can build their flailing self esteem. We are all different and yet we all share the same humanity. Life is a process and pain can be a good teacher. Although nobody wants to suffer, get old, depend on others or be a burden. We still need one another. My Uncle told me that God gave us animals to teach us how to love. But I propose to tell you that God also gave us one another to teach us how to love and to overcome our smaller selves. We are faced with many ways to grow in a given day if we stay spiritually fit and open our hearts to one another. It can be a scary proposition. It is a gamble. We never know for sure if the other parties are really what they “appear to be” but it is still a necessary part of the journey called life.
